This Hypothetical battle is the second tutorial. This scenario
is best played as the Germans with the Russians under computer
control with Fog of War "on".
Congratulations
on locating the fleeing enemy. Unfortunately we were unable to
prevent the Russians from crossing the river and subsequently
blowing the bridge. HQ believes that if we can launch a quick
strike across the river and establish a small bridgehead, then
our engineers will be able to construct a pontoon bridge during
the night so that our advance can continue in the morning. Intelligence
has informed us that at least a battalion of Russian infantry
is digging in over there. To help our crossing HQ has released
to us a platoon of the new K18 170mm artillery guns. In addition
we've been allotted an extra supply of smoke shells, so be sure
and use them if you expect to cross that river in one piece.
Good luck.
